Flying in Malta: Air experience flights starting from just €90. Give the gift of flight!

Trial flight lessons, also known as air experience flights, on a microlight aircraft, where the prospective student gets a hands-on experience and a closer insight into what microlight flying is all about with a flying instructor. Our aircraft are two-seaters, meaning we can just carry one passenger at a time.
Minimum age is 14 years old, passenger weight restrictions apply.
Prices are the same for flights on both our Ikarus C42B (closed white aircraft, side by side seating)
and our Apollo Delta Jet 2 (open yellow aircraft, tandem seating.)

Introductory (30 minute) flight – €90

Typically limited to parts of mainland coastal Malta, and may cover areas such as Valletta’s Grand Harbour, Dingli Cliffs, Xemxija Bay, Golden Bay, Gnejna Bay.

Extended (45 minutes) flight – €130

Depending on the runway that departure is done from, we will follow either the east or west coast of Malta up to Comino, then return via Malta’s opposite coast. Areas of interest – Dingli Cliffs, Golden Bay area, Anchor Bay (Popeye Village), Blue Lagoon in Comino, Mellieha Bay, Xemxija Bay and St Paul’s Islands, St Julian’s and Valletta’s Grand Harbour.

Premium (75 minutes) flight – €180

For the ultimate flying experience covering the main Maltese archipelago! The same route as the Extended air experience flight is covered, but we will then continue to the beautiful island of Gozo and explore its various features such as Ramla l-Hamra Beach, the Inland Sea in Dwejra, Xlendi, Ta’ Cenc cliffs, Mgarr ix-Xini, and Mgarr Harbour.
*Maximum passenger weight 95 kg


The routes described depend on weather conditions and any air traffic restrictions, and may (however rarely) vary on the day. We are mostly flexible in our routes, and if there and particular areas you would like to fly over, feel free to contact us!

Purchase is non-refundable, however the gift recipient may be changed upon request. Cancellations for flight appointments must be done at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise we reserve the right to forfeit the flight without recompense. Trial flight vouchers are valid for at least one year from date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

Important points:

  • Flights are usually carried out seven days a week including most public holidays, from sunrise to sunset.
  • Flights are weather dependent – we will advise of any cancellations due to weather where the flight can then be rescheduled.
  • Once an appointment for the trial flight is set, we need a minimum of 24 hours notification in case of postponement.
  • The trial lesson counts towards your training should you decide to take it up seriously – see our Pilot Course section
  • Minimum age 14 years old. Maximum passenger weight 100kg for the introductory and extended flights, 95kg for the premium air experience flight
